BLCK VC Canada is a pioneering force dedicated to reshaping the landscape of venture capital (VC) in Canada through the lens of diversity and inclusion. Founded on the principles established by BLCK VC in the United States, our mission is to empower Black investors, entrepreneurs, and professionals within the VC ecosystem, fostering a community that mirrors the diversity and dynamism of Canada itself.
Our Mission
At BLCK VC Canada, we are committed to breaking down systemic barriers and creating pathways for Black individuals in venture capital. Our work is focused on increasing the representation of Black investors in VC, enhancing career prospects for Black professionals in the industry, and illuminating the contributions of Black individuals in technology and entrepreneurship through data-driven insights and advocacy.
BLCK VC Canada aims to transform venture capital into an inclusive engine for change and generational wealth creation by shifting the demographics of the venture industry to mirror the diversity of this nation. We strive to increase the percentage of Black investors and Black partners in venture capital to 4.5% and 3%, respectively, by2030.

Through our active community and Canada-wide chapters, we foster connections that accelerate the careers of Black investors and support their journey within the VC landscape.

By compiling and sharing data-driven insights, we aim to highlight the impact and importance of diversity in venture capital, advocating for a more inclusive and equitable industry.
Entrepreneurial development
We empower current and future entrepreneurs with resources, knowledge, and networks normally possessed by investors, yhrough our partnership with organizations such as the Black Founders Network (BFN), Black Entrepreneurship Alliance (BEA), Nobellum, and other incubators and accelerators focused on black entrepreneurs.
